Terms of service.

WaqasWebPro is the trading name of Waqas Mehmood, an independent studio operating from Lahore, Pakistan. It is not an incorporated company, and these terms are between you and Waqas Mehmood personally. Every project is led by him, which is why the same person is answerable for the quote, the work and anything that goes wrong afterwards.

Where these terms say "I" or "me" they mean Waqas Mehmood. Where they say "you" they mean the person or business commissioning the work.

Before any work begins you receive a written scope: what is included, what is not, what it costs and how long it should take. Nothing starts until you have agreed to that document.

A quote is valid for 30 days. After that the numbers may need revisiting, usually because of third party costs rather than mine.

• Work outside the agreed scope is quoted and agreed before it is built, never invoiced afterwards as a surprise
• If you ask for something during the build that changes the scope, you are told at the time what it adds in cost and time
• If I have underestimated something, that is my problem and it is not repriced onto you

The advance covers time that has been reserved and, past the first working day, work that has already begun. It is not refundable once the work has started. If I have to withdraw from a project for a reason that is mine, anything paid for work not yet done is returned.

• 50 percent of the agreed project price is payable in advance, and it is what reserves your place in the queue
• The remaining 50 percent is due at handover, before the work is transferred to your own hosting or domain where that applies
• Care plans and hosting are billed monthly in advance
• Invoices can be issued in USD, GBP, EUR or PKR. The currency and the payment method are agreed before the advance, not after it
• Bank charges and currency conversion fees are yours where your bank charges them, and mine where mine does

Every timeline in a scope document assumes that content, access and feedback arrive when they are asked for. That is the single most common reason a project slips, and it is worth saying plainly at the start rather than discovering together in week five.

If a project stalls on your side for more than 60 days it goes back into the queue, and restarting is subject to availability rather than to the original dates.

• Content: text, images, product data, logos and anything else that has to appear
• Access to the existing site, hosting, domain and any accounts that have to be connected
• One named person who can give feedback and make decisions
• Confirmation that you hold the rights to any material you send me to publish

Two rounds of revision are included at each agreed review stage. Revisions mean refining what was scoped, not replacing it with a different idea.

A change of direction after a stage has been signed off is new work, and it is quoted before it is started.

• On full payment, the finished website or system, its content and its design are yours
• Your domain, hosting account, analytics and email are registered in your name from the start, not mine
• I keep the right to reuse generic components, techniques and code patterns that are not specific to your business. Your content, brand and data are never reused
• Third party licences such as fonts, stock photography or paid plugins are licensed to you, and you keep paying for them if they renew
• Until final payment is made the work remains mine and is not licensed for use

Domains, hosting bought elsewhere, paid plugins, stock photography, premium fonts and advertising spend are yours and are paid to those suppliers. Where I buy something on your behalf it is passed on at cost, with the receipt, and never marked up.

• Care plans are monthly and can be cancelled at any time, with the current month served out
• Included edit time does not roll over into the following month
• New features, new pages and redesigns are projects, not edits, and are quoted separately
• If you cancel, your site, your database and your data leave with you in a usable form, at no charge
• I may suspend a hosted site for non payment after written notice, and your data is still returned to you on request

The honest limits, in the same words used everywhere else on this site.

• No search engine position can be guaranteed by anyone, including me. What is promised is the technical work done correctly and reporting honest enough to show when it is not working
• Google decides Business Profile reinstatements, not me. What you get is the appeal prepared and filed properly
• No website can honestly be called hack proof. What is promised is current software, closed doors, backups that actually exist, and a person who answers when something breaks
• Uptime depends on providers I do not own, and no hosting can promise that nothing will ever fail. Response times on a care plan are the ones agreed in writing for that plan

For 30 days after launch, anything that does not work the way the agreed scope said it would is fixed at no charge. That covers faults in what I built. It does not cover new requests, changes you make yourself, or breakages caused by third party software you install afterwards.

Anything you share about your business, your pricing, your customers or your processes stays private. It is not shown to anyone, quoted in a case study, or used as an example without your written agreement.

Your name, logo and project appear on this website only after you have said yes. That rule is why the work page here is shorter than it could be.

I am responsible for doing the work properly and for fixing my own mistakes. My total liability for any project is limited to the amount you have paid me for it.

I am not liable for lost profits, for data you had no backup of before I was engaged, or for the failure of a third party service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Either of us can end a project in writing. You pay for the work completed up to that point, and you receive everything that has been produced and paid for.

I may decline or end work that is unlawful, that is intended to mislead people, or where the working relationship has stopped being workable. If that happens I will say so plainly and in writing.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Lahore have jurisdiction. If you are contracting from another country and need a different arrangement, say so before the advance and it can be discussed rather than argued about later.

These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your project is the one in force on the day your scope document was agreed, and a copy of it is kept. This page was last updated on 20 August 2026.
